To adjust coarseness, turn the grinder over and locate the small gray knob on the base, turn the knob clockwise for a fine grind or counterclockwise for a coarse grind.Do not fill with pre-ground salt, pepper, or spices. For best results, use with dry coarse granules of sea salt.When filled, screw the cap back into place. To fill, unscrew the top cap and pour in the desired spice.To deep clean grinder, empty completely, partially fill grinder with dry coarse sea salt, and grind until output is clear.Grinders and stand are not dishwasher-safe.
